Plastic & Rubber Barcellona 2025: an event for innovation and networking

The third edition of Plastics & Rubber consolidates its growth and unveils its content programme

On 11–12 March 2026, La Farga, Barcelona, will host the third edition of Plastics & Rubber, a professional event that has established itself as a key meeting point for the plastics and rubber industries in the Iberian Peninsula.

Since its launch, Plastics & Rubber has stood out as a dynamic, specialised and close-to-market exhibition, designed to address the challenges of a sector that is moving towards innovation, circularity and industrial efficiency. With a growing exhibition area and a first-class technical programme, the event once again positions itself as a strategic platform to discover trends, generate business opportunities and stay up to date with the issues shaping the future.

Exhibition area: a showcase for innovation and networking

The exhibition area has grown by 40% compared with the previous edition and will bring together more than 100 companies across 5,000 m². A comprehensive offering ranging from raw materials and additives to machinery, equipment, recycling solutions and specialised services.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover innovations, explore new applications and establish strategic contacts in a professional environment centred on efficiency, competitiveness and business generation.

Scientific programme: insights into the future of the sector

The scientific programme will bring together leading experts and associations, such as AIMPLAS, ANAIP, AVEP, CEP, CLUSTER MAV, ENVALORA, IMPLICA and Plastics Europe. Over two days, they will share updated data, present success stories and open discussions on issues that will shape the present and future of the industry.

The agenda will address topics such as the sector’s evolution and competitive context, legislation and taxation impacting the industry, innovative and sustainable materials, advanced processing and recycling, industrial packaging management and new DRS models, as well as corporate success cases, among others. A programme designed to deliver practical knowledge, anticipate regulatory changes and provide solutions directly applicable to professionals’ daily work.

TechFocus programme: trends, innovation and practical solutions

The TechFocus programme will feature technical-commercial presentations delivered by exhibiting companies, sharing key insights into the latest trends, innovative technologies and practical solutions for the industry.

Across the two days, sessions will include developments in additives, advanced compounds, flame retardants, functional fillers, high-performance polyamides, solutions for rubber and recycling technologies, among others. A space designed for technical professionals to gain first-hand access to innovations with immediate application and to connect directly with the experts behind them.

The Recycling Zone: circularity in the spotlight

The National Association of Plastic Recyclers (ANARPLA) will play a central role in The Recycling Zone with a series of round tables exploring major trends, challenges and opportunities around plastics and rubber recycling.

The programme will also feature the contribution of the Aragón Institute of Technology (ITA), which will address the life cycle of elastomers and how technological innovation translates into concrete industrial applications.

Other highlights will include developments in packaging recycling and food safety, certification and process control, sorting of complex plastics, mixing solutions for recycled materials, and chemical and textile recycling, shaping a diverse and up-to-date programme.

The area will also feature a dedicated exhibition space where specialised suppliers will showcase technologies and services for the management, separation and valorisation of materials, making The Recycling Zone a key hub for professionals seeking to advance circular economy practices in the industry.

32th Technical Conference of the Rubber Consortium – cauchoTech

Within Plastics & Rubber 2026, the Rubber Consortium will organise the 32nd Technical Conference – cauchoTech, taking place on 12 March from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at La Farga, Barcelona.

The morning session will include presentations on innovative raw materials applied to rubber formulations and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the sector, together with shortlisted presentations for the 5th Innovation Award, which attendees will be able to vote for live.

Throughout the day there will be networking opportunities and visits to the exhibition area, where the Rubber Consortium will be present at stand 454. In the afternoon, a round table will focus on the Digital Product Passport, alongside a showroom showcasing projects and innovations of interest to the sector. The event will conclude with the presentation of the 5th Innovation Award.
