The 2020 Tire Technology Expo provides visitors from across the globe an unrivaled opportunity to network with colleagues and see the latest advancements in tire technology.

The international show, held February 25, 26, 27, will host more than 5,000 attendees, over 300 exhibitors and 170+ industry speakers across the exhibition, conference, course program and awards dinner.

Tire Technology Expo 2020 is the world’s premier technology showcase, with displays of equipment and materials covering the complete tire manufacturing process, from laser tire cleaning and marking, crack-resistant bladders, hydraulic presses and ultra-precise calendering, to HIL simulation and laser engraving.

Among the 300-strong exhibitor base, visitors will find major players from the tire sector –including Continental, Michelin and Hankook – all of which will be showcasing their latest innovations and products.

Attendees will also be able to take part in a series of IOM30-accredited short courses (rates apply) on a variety of topics, including future tire regulations, computer modeling, rubber compounding, and tire mechanics. While most of the courses are aimed at experienced engineers who are looking to deepen their knowledge, some are suitable for beginners too, ensuring all attendees will find a course suitable for their level of ability.

Among the notable speakers at this year’s conference are Dr Hans Dorfi, director of digital engineering, Bridgestone Americas, who will talk about the role of intelligent tires in future mobility and transportation; Eduardo Minardi, founder of Minardi Global, whose presentation will focus on the changes needed to overcome future mobility challenges; Patrick Pallot, tire design fellow, Michelin, who will discuss virtual design; and Dr Jorge Lacayo-Pineda, expert in materials evaluations, Continental AG, who will discuss cluster morphology of silica and salinization.

In addition to the packed conference program and bustling exhibition, a spectacular gala dinner will be held to mark the 20th anniversary of the expo. During the evening, the Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence will be presented.

The awards are judged by a fully independent, international panel of journalists and industry experts, with a number of accolades up for grabs, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, Tire Manufacturer of the Year Award and the very topical Environmental Achievement Award.
