The 10th edition of plast & printpack alger 2026, the must-attend event for professionals in the plastics, recycling, packaging and printing sectors, will take place from 30 March to 1 April 2026 at the Palais des Expositions – SAFEX in Algiers. Organized jointly by fairtrade Messe and Messe Düsseldorf, plast & printpack alger has established itself as the region’s leading platform with 5,403 trade visitors from all of Algeria’s industrial sites and 302 exhibitors from 22 countries.
Algeria, a high-potential market
Imports of plastic raw materials grew by 7.8% annually between 2007 and 2024, from 304 kt to 1,095 kt in 2024. This makes Algeria the third largest importer of plastics in primary forms in Africa and the Middle East, after the UAE and Egypt. (EUROMAP)
For several years now, Algeria has been investing heavily in the production of plastic raw materials to gradually reduce its dependence on imports. EUROMAP anticipates production of 31 kt in 2026, 211 kt in 2027 and 416 kt in 2028.
According to VDMA, Algerian investment in plastics and recycling technology rose from 91 million euros to 210 million euros between 2020 and 2023,
With these massive investments, Algeria confirms its position as one of the most dynamic markets in Africa and the Middle East.

الجزائر، سوق ذو إمكانات عالية
ما بين عام 2007 و 2024 شهدت واردات المواد الخام البلاستيكية ارتفاع بنسبة %7.8 سنوياً، حيث زاد مقدارها من 304 كيلو طن إلى 1095 كيلو طن في عام 2024. وهذا يجعل الجزائر ثالث أكبر مستورد للمواد البلاستيكية بأشكالها الأولية، وذلك في أفريقيا والشرق الأوسط، بعد الإمارات العربية المتحدة ومصر. (EUROMAP)
تعمل الجزائر منذ عدة سنوات بالاستثمار بنسبة عالية في نطاق إنتاج المواد الخام البلاستيكية لغاية خفض اعتمادها تدريجياً على الواردات. إذ تتوقع EUROMAP إنتاج 31 كيلو طن في عام 2026، 211 كيلو طن في عام 2027 و 416 كيلو طن في عام 2028.
وبناء على جمعية VDMA، لقد ارتفعت الاستثمارات الجزائرية في نطاق البلاستيك وتقنيات إعادة التدوير من 91 مليون يورو حتى 210 مليون يورو بين عام 2020 و 2023.
وبفضل هذه الاستثمارات الضخمة، تؤكد الجزائر مكانتها كإحدى الأسواق الاكثر ديناميكية في أفريقيا والشرق الأوسط.
