Expoquimia ed Equiplast chiudono i battenti presso la sede Gran Via della Fira de Barcelona con un bilancio molto positivo, consolidando la loro posizione di punto di riferimento per la comunità industriale. Entrambe le fiere hanno dimostrato la loro capacità di riunire i settori manifatturieri legati all’industria chimica e delle materie plastiche, supportando le aziende nelle loro decisioni di investimento grazie a un’offerta commerciale rappresentativa e a spazi dedicati alla condivisione delle conoscenze e allo scambio di esperienze. Tutto ciò si è svolto in un contesto di trasformazione industriale che ha favorito il dialogo imprenditoriale e settoriale.

Tenutesi in contemporanea, le due fiere organizzate da Fira de Barcelona hanno attirato un totale di 20.803 visitatori, con un aumento del 10% rispetto all’edizione del 2023. L’offerta commerciale di Equiplast ed Expoquimia è cresciuta del 35%, con quasi 800 espositori e oltre 1.600 marchi rappresentati nei padiglioni 2 e 3 della sede di Gran Via. Questi dati riflettono l’interesse del mercato verso modelli di produzione più efficienti, innovativi e responsabili, nonché il dinamismo delle industrie chimiche e della plastica, le cui soluzioni sono essenziali nella maggior parte dei processi produttivi.
Dopo quattro giorni di attività, la maggior parte degli espositori e dei visitatori ha espresso soddisfazione per l’andamento delle fiere, sottolineando la qualità dei contatti professionali stabiliti. Nel caso di Equiplast, è stata molto apprezzata la presenza dell’intera filiera della plastica, con una crescita particolare nei settori del riciclaggio e dell’ambiente. D’altra parte, i partecipanti hanno accolto con favore il nuovo posizionamento di Expoquimia, che rafforza il legame tra chimica e industria, sottolineandone la natura trasversale come motore di competitività per diversi settori quali quello farmaceutico, l’industria automobilistica e quello dell’imballaggio, tra gli altri.

Elevata affluenza alle attività
Il programma degli eventi è stato accolto molto favorevolmente. Tra le due fiere si sono svolte oltre 200 attività, tra cui conferenze, tavole rotonde, presentazioni e altri eventi collaterali, che hanno attirato più di 6.000 partecipanti. Questa affluenza conferma l’interesse del settore per tematiche legate alla sostenibilità, alla digitalizzazione, ai nuovi materiali e agli sviluppi tecnologici nei processi industriali.
Merita una menzione speciale la cena di gala di Expoquimia, tenutasi il 3 giugno, alla quale hanno partecipato il ministro dell’Industria, Jordi Hereu, e il ministro regionale per le Imprese e il Lavoro, Miquel Sàmper, e che ha riunito oltre 700 dirigenti delle principali aziende e organizzazioni dell’industria chimica e di altri settori clienti di tutto il Paese.
Il presidente del Comitato Organizzatore di Equiplast, Bernd Roegele, ha sottolineato che «Equiplast ha dimostrato ancora una volta la propria forza come fiera, con una gamma completa di prodotti che rappresentano la filiera della plastica e che risponde alle reali esigenze del mercato, con una chiara attenzione alla circolarità».
Da parte sua, il presidente del comitato organizzatore di Expoquimia, Carles Navarro, ha affermato che «questa edizione ha messo in luce l’importanza della chimica nell’aiutare altri settori ad affrontare le sfide della sostenibilità e della digitalizzazione senza perdere competitività». Navarro ha inoltre sottolineato che «Expoquimia ha consolidato il proprio ruolo di forum di incontro e riflessione in un momento decisivo per gli investimenti industriali».

La prossima edizione congiunta di Equiplast ed Expoquimia si terrà nel maggio 2029.

Spaces for knowledge-sharing and the exchange of experiences

Expoquimia and Equiplast close their doors at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue on a very positive note, consolidating their position as the leading meeting point for the industrial community. Both trade fairs have demonstrated their ability to bring together the manufacturing sectors centred on chemicals and plastics, supporting companies in their investment decision-making thanks to a representative commercial offering and spaces for knowledge-sharing and the exchange of experiences. All this has taken place against a backdrop of industrial transformation that has fostered business and sectoral dialogue.

Held simultaneously, the two trade fairs organised by Fira de Barcelona attracted a total of 20,803 visitors, representing a 10% increase on the 2023 edition. The commercial offering at Equiplast and Expoquimia has grown by 35%, with nearly 800 exhibitors and more than 1,600 brands represented in Halls 2 and 3 of the Gran Via venue. These figures reflect the market’s interest in moving towards more efficient, innovative and responsible production models, as well as the dynamism of the chemical and plastics industries, whose solutions are essential in most manufacturing processes.
After four days of activity, the majority of exhibitors and visitors expressed their satisfaction with how the trade fairs unfolded, highlighting the quality of the professional contacts made. In the case of Equiplast, the presence of the entire plastics value chain was highly regarded, with particular growth in the areas of recycling and the environment. On the other hand, participants endorsed Expoquimia’s new positioning, which strengthens the link between chemistry and industry, highlighting its cross-cutting nature as a driver of competitiveness for multiple sectors such as pharmaceuticals, the automotive industry and packaging, among others.

High turnout for the activities
The programme of events was very well received. Across both exhibitions, more than 200 activities took place, including conferences, panel discussions, presentations and other side events, attracting over 6,000 attendees. This turnout confirms the sector’s interest in topics related to sustainability, digitalisation, new materials and technological developments in industrial processes.
Special mention should be made of the Expoquimia Gala Dinner held on 3 June, attended by the Minister for Industry, Jordi Hereu, and the Regional Minister for Enterprise and Labour, Miquel Sàmper, which brought together more than 700 executives from the leading companies and organisations in the chemical industry and other client sectors across the country.
According to the chairman of the Equiplast Organising Committee, Bernd Roegele, emphasised that “Equiplast has once again demonstrated its strength as a trade fair, with a comprehensive range of products representing the plastics value chain that meets the real needs of the market, with a clear focus on circularity”.
For his part, the chairman of the Expoquimia Organising Committee, Carles Navarro, “this edition has highlighted the importance of chemistry in helping other sectors tackle the challenges of sustainability and digitalisation without losing competitiveness”. Navarro also emphasised that “Expoquimia has consolidated its role as a forum for meeting and reflection at a decisive moment for industrial investment”.
The next joint edition of Equiplast and Expoquimia will take place in May 2029.
